Well hello there!!
We are Crystal and Bobby Noble-Smith, aka FlOwUpTuOuS (have you heard us sing our name yet?!). We are musicians, singers, writers, performers, and Podcast hosts! Thanks for checking out our website- we hope it brings you a dose of fun and whimsy!
We like to think of ourselves as YOUR acoustic soul duo! Making music and sprinkling love is our game.
People seem to really dig it when we harmonize- and it’s our favorite thing to do! Add some acoustic guitar, loop pedal, beat boxing, and onstage shenanigans, and you’ve got the recipe for a fun show!
We’ve performed on cruise ships, for radio stations, on TV, and at just about every club, eatery, and tiny bar you can imagine!
Folks ask us about our name….alot! Some love it, others hate it- but it’s just who we are. Imagine voluptuous with some deep curves, but at the same time you got a flow goin’. We never sing anything quite the same way twice, we are always digging for a new angle! Our shows, much like us, are fun and unpredictable- and that’s how we like it!
You can also think of it as Flow Up To Us! We never thought of that when we created the name- but some others did and we think that’s pretty cool!
There are artists and musical forces in this world that we adore, and we follow in their path of inspiration. We absolutely love Jacob Collier, Musiq Soulchild, Beat Root Revival, Bill Withers, Robert Glasper, and many others!
We recently formed the “FlOwUpTuOuS Trio” with our buddy Rachel Turgoose! She’s an incredible singer and instrumentalist (sax, flute, etc) and really brings that extra oomph to our trio shows!
